Question by Marley: Say, a woman had sex 8 days after the last day of her period. What are the chances that she'll get pregnant?

(And is it a significant fact that the woman had that particular intercourse for the first time, i.e. she's a virgin?)

Being a virgin really doesn't have anything to do with getting pregnant, except for make it hurt a lot more.

If her period ended 8 days ago, then she should be okay. It's unlikely that the new ovule will have made its way all the way to her uterus that quickly. Although, everyone's biology is different. This is based on average ovulation cycles.
